The grad school schopper is a website designed to help undergraduate students not only understand which program they should go into, but also the list of graduate schools that offer those programs. The website offers search engines and other resources intended to help narrow down and select the correct schools to apply to.

They also offer an informative introduction and guide in applying as a Physics, Astrophysics, or related major. We have linked the guide below.

Big Ten Fee Waiver

Applying to graduate school can be expensive depending on the number of schools you apply to. To help aid with this there are not only school specific fee waivers that we recommend looking into, but also a general Big Ten fee waiver. Don't let finances stop you from continuing your career in academia, make sure to apply for fee waivers whenever you can!

Grad School Mentoring

Physics Careers works to pair undergraduates with current UMN graduate students to help them along with their graduate school application processes. Each grad student can offer a unique and personal experience to applications that could prove very useful to prospective grads.

Keep an eye on deadlines!

Most schools have a graduate school application deadline of December 15th!

Make sure you order transcripts in case the school requires the official transcripts for applications.

Also, don't forget to enter in your references early, many places will then send an email where your references can upload your letter of recommendation. The sooner they get that email, the easier it is to make sure all of your applications are completed on time!
